Vijay Nelson is the Chief Product Officer at Cropin, the Agritech pioneer who has built the world's first purpose-built industry cloud for Agriculture - Cropin Cloud. He has two decades of experience in product conceptualization and E2E product development for businesses and consumers, bootstrapping new product teams, building product strategies for new businesses, cross-functional team leadership, people management, and software development.
At Cropin, Vijay leads product development and platform innovations. He focuses on streamlining existing product offerings and building the next generation of agri-intelligence solutions tailored for different customer segments. Vijay plays a crucial role in strengthening Cropin's deep tech product suite and accelerating the convergence of AI, ML, data science, satellite imagery, and remote sensing to reimagine a truly futuristic tech-enabled Agri ecosystem worldwide.
Before joining Cropin, Vijay held product leadership roles at leading technology organizations such as Microsoft, Amazon, eMids, and Honeywell. His most recent role was at Microsoft, where he was the Head of Product, leading Microsoft Outlook products in India. Previously, he has held product leadership positions at Amazon and Honeywell Aerospace.
Vijay graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering, affiliated with Anna University Chennai, where he was a gold medalist and was awarded outstanding student. Vijay lives in Bangalore.
