He enjoys understanding customer challenges and solving them by putting together technology, and he is adept at both bootstrapping and expanding new tech teams to high proficiency.
At Cropin, Prakhyath leads the product engineering for Mobile, Web, and Backend platforms, as well as Business Intelligence Engineering and Analytics. In addition, Prakhyath is instrumental in developing Cropin’s new multi-tenant, micro-services based SaaS digitization platform and in moving legacy clients to it. His work also involves the convergence of farm digitization data and intelligence outputs developed using AI, ML, data science, satellite imagery, and remote sensing data.
Prakhyath has extensive experience in the technology field thanks to his time spent at Samsung Research Institute’s Health & IoT Division, which includes the company’s Digital Health, Fitness & Wellness Platform, before he joined Cropin. To fulfill his role as architect, he was tasked with developing novel approaches to existing challenges in large-scale systems, prototyping such approaches, supporting them with intellectual property (IP), and eventually commercializing them to hundreds of millions of users.
After that, he joined Viacom18 and oversaw all OTT projects for Voot, Voot Kids, and Voot Select. This included the products’ conception, creation, and distribution across all mobile platforms, TV applications, Web/ Web/PWA, and backend recommendation algorithms. He also oversaw the creation of two new products, from ideation to distribution, and was instrumental in constructing the internal IT team from scratch.
Prakhyath received his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the Bangalore Institute of Technology. He is the author of multiple scholarly articles published by the IEEE and holds four international patents.
