Samitha R Babu is a Product Manager at Cropin, the Agritech pioneer who has built the world’s first purpose-built industry cloud for Agriculture - Cropin Cloud. A data-driven Product Manager that has over 8 years of experience, Samitha is well grounded in deep data analytics, building Enterprise AI products, delivering actionable insight-based decisions, build the right products, drive acquisition, delight customers and add exponential value to customers all the way till the last mile.
At Cropin, Samitha spearheads the Plot-level Intelligence product as part of the Cropin Intelligence suite, focusing on the convergence of AI/ML, satellite imagery, weather data, cloud computing, and Agri-Science to power our predictive intelligence solutions at a farm pixel level. With a large ag-knowledge graph, location and crop-agnostic AI models, as well as intelligence at a crop/plot level, Cropin enables users to identify and mitigate risks in order to improve per-acre value.
Before joining Cropin, Samitha held Business Analyst, Product Innovation Lead, and Product Manager roles at leading organizations such as Noodle.ai, Swiss Re, and Mu Sigma. Samitha focused on building Enterprise AI products across industries, supply chain, BFSI, Airlines Operations, & Automotive, to name a few.
Samitha graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. She has also published a research paper titled ‘A Generic Agent-Based Cloud Computing Architecture for E-Learning’ at the Computer Society of India conference.
